Crowds: The danger and excitement when groups gather.
Attraction is magnetic. People who are part of the crowd are pressed tightly against one another, straining to hear what is being said at the center. All of the people in the group are focused on the same spot; their sensory attention is concentrated on the crowd, their crowd. In situations such as this, the consciousness involved is mass consciousness.
