Golf:Simple sport or spiritual journey?
Golf is seen as the transcendental journey, not so much as a venture to get somewhere as a mythical circumnavigation of inner space. The components of the journey, those that lead to spiritual reunification, include a study of the whiteness of the ball, the mystery of the golf cup and the cup as a metaphor for the doorways in ordinary life, the art of replacing the divot, and the study of true gravity as produced by the backswing.
